HAMMERSMITH BRIDGE, Hammersmith, Greater London. The bridge built by Sir Joseph Bazalgette in 1883-7, taken from the south, with elephantine ornament in the foregound. This bridge replaced an earlier suspension bridge on the site, but reused some of the original parts. Photographed by Henry Taunt between 1887 - 1922.
