Flowers Seeds Catalogs; Vegetables Seeds Catalogs; Fruit Seeds Catalogs; Grasses Seeds Catalogs; Gardening Equipment and supplies Catalogs; Commercial catalogs New York (State) Binghamton. 3 l/aluable ffeu; Qa^umfc^rs. 11 1437 WHITE WONDER. The White Wonder surpasses the White Pearl, both in handsome appearance and fine quality, while its strong vigorous, extremely healthy habit of growth enables the vines to produce a large cro£ of perfect fruit, even under adverse conditions. Its stroBg constitution is exceptional; the past season our crop9.»f fine delicately flavored Cucumbers,'such as White imp1 and Giant Pera, were almost total failures, owing to^the excessive wet weather when in the third leaf, followed by two months of very hot, dry weather, the plants that escaped the floods of June being scorched by the drouth of July and August. The White Wonder, which was planted at the same time and under the same conditions, lost hardly a plant, either by weather or disease, the strong, vigorous vines retaining their full, green foliage until the cucumbers were almost ripe for seed. The illustration shows three average specimens accurately engraved from a photograph. The cucumbers are thickly set throughout the length of the vine and are remarkably uniform in color, shape, and size; they average about eight inches long by two to two and a half inches through ; the skin is extremely thin, but very tough, and the pearly white flesh is exquisitely fine in quality, and very brittle, and remains solid for a long time. The color is always ivory white. Owing to its unusual hardiness of constitution, the White Wonder can be planted earlier than most other Cucumbers, and is also a sure cropper. Per packet 6 cents, 2 packets 10 cents, half ounce 12 cents, ounce 20 cents, quarter pound 50 cents, pound $ "53-—Henderson's New Cucumber, "Cooland ; It is inclined to taper off at the stem end, and is gen- erally a little pointed
