Vail, a native of IndustryTownship and daughter of Christopher andSarah (Dace) Vail, the former born in IndustryTownship, and the latter born in Missouri. , who is a farmer in Industry Township,is a son of John B. and Sophia (Hrown) Vail,natives of Ohio and Pennsylvania, respectively,who came to Schuyler County, III., in 1833. In1835 these early settlers located in IndustryTownship, where the family since has beenactive in farming. Harmon and Martha (Huff)Dace, grandparents of Mrs. Lawyer and nativesof Missouri, died when Mrs. Lawyers motherwas nine years old. Mr. and Mrs. Lawyer arethe parents of four children: Gladys K., , Herbert C. and J. Meredith. Industry,good judgment and shrewd business capacityhave advanced
