She is now (1936) cashier ofthe Prudential Federal Savings &Loan Association, and has been amember of the board of control of theDeseret Gymnasium and treasurer ofthe Art Barn. CANNON, Lucy Grant, a memberof the General Board of the Y. W. A. and the second daughter of J. Grant and Lucy Stringham, was born Oct. 22, 1880, in Salt LakeCity, Utah. She was educated in thepublic schools, attended the L. D. in the 18th Ward, the L. High School, and the University ofUtah. She was married to Geo. Jen-. kins Cannon on June 26, 1902, and theyhave seven children, two boys and fivegirls, namely: Rachel C. Heninger,Irene C. Lloyd, Floi^ence C. Snow,Jean, George Ivins, Lucy Grant andHeber Stanley. Sister Cannon actedas a teacher in the Sunday school andas organist, secretary and counselorin the Primary Association. She waspresident of the Y. L. M. I. A. at theage of 18, and with the exception ofthree years she has been in the A. since she was 18 years old. Shefilled a mission to the Western Statesin 1901, being the first regular ladymissionary to go with her women, however, had previouslyaccompanied their husbands into themission field.
