A man displays in his face a message to the Hong Kong government to withdraw the extradition bill. Despite the Chief Executive Carrie Lam's attempt to ease the heightened tension by agreeing to suspend the controversial bill, close to 2 million people participated in Sunday's rally, according to the organizers. The protesters called for the withdrawal of the controversial extradition bill, the release and non-prosecution of the people arrested due to the cause, investigation of whether excessive force had been used by the police on June 12, and the resignation of Carrie Lam.
