Cambridge University students celebrating Caesarian Sunday on Jesus Green in Cambridge on Sunday afternoon May 3rd. Thousands of Cambridge University students played riotous drinking games at a summer party in a city centre park today (Sun) Around 2000 undergraduates from the prestigious university spent the afternoon stripping off, downing alcohol from funnels and brawling in the "Caesarian Sunday" party on Jesus Green. By the end of the afternoon many were struggling to stand, after consuming copious amounts of alcohol, with some even downing drink from bins as the celebrated the start of the summer term. The students, many of whom were wearing fancy dress, began turning up at about midday, with some travelling to the party by punt and other carrying bags of booze. They then proceeded to drink throughout the afternoon, spaying each other with beer, doing boozy wheelbarrow races and fighting with homemade swords.
