Aylesbury Vale, Buckinghamshire, UK. 26th April, 2021. The single track Bowood Lane has recenlty been closed by HS2. They have destroyed trees and hedgerows and are building a haul road across the lane up to Jones Hill Wood where a viaduct will be built for the new High Speed 2. The controversial and massively over budget High Speed 2 rail link from London to Birmingham is carving a huge scar across the Chilterns which is an AONB. Credit: Maureen McLean/Alamy
