INDIAN OCEAN (Jan. 3, 2021) – Navy Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Airman Lewis Jones, left, and Airman Tori Norris clear the flight deck after placing chocks and chains on an MH-60S Sea Hawk, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 23, aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Makin Island (LHD 8). The Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group and the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit are conducting operations in the 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
