Life along the South West coastline of Sri Lanka revolves around coconut farming, rice cultivation and fishing. The fishermen go out mid afternoon on their brightly painted outrigger catamarans and fish all night. Their technique is to cast their nets then jump into the sea & scare the shoals of fish into their nets, the resulting catch can been sen in the markets the following morning.
