Gasoline was taken on at road-side filling stations. —And at the end, the wonder-ful showing— miles per gal-lon (Imperial gallons)—a recordwhich has never been equalled. Although speed was not the ob-ject, the car averaged 19 miles perhour, maintaining as high as 35and 40 miles per hour for longstretches.
