A test of this fender onhuman beings has been made on the Hillside division ofthe North Hudson County Railway Company with grati-fying results. The advantages claimed for this safety guard overother types are as follows: The front fender in its normal position can be madeto run over the roadbed at a height above the track ofthree inches or less, according to the condition of theroadbed.
