Warsaw Uprising Museum commemorates soldiers of the Polish underground Home Army and rising against Nazi occupiers in 1944 - Warsaw, Poland

The Warsaw Uprising was a military operation prepared and conducted by the Polish underground authorities and their Home Army in 1944. Soldiers of the Army fought for 63 days. Approximately 16000 men were killed in action and 6000 wounded. 200000 civilians died, many of them were murdered by the Germans in mass executions.
