A national day of action was held across the country as protesters called for an end to deaths in custody and for the closure of youth prisons. In Sydney protesters marched form Lee Street next to Central Station to Sydney Police Station in Surry Hill. Present were family members of Tane Chatfield, 22, who was found unresponsive at Tamworth Correctional Centre on 20 September.
