Store storage gun powder room of Fort Frederick Maryland As in French Indian; American Revolutionary War of Independence

Store room in a frontier fort from the time of the French & Indian War. Fort Frederick was completed in 1756 after an existing design by Vauban. The Fort's stone wall and two barracks have been restored to their 1758 appearance. This display in the west barrack is in use during a reenactment of daily life in the era of the French & Indian War and the American Revolution. It's open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day and on the weekends in the spring and fall. During those times, staff and volunteers dressed in 18th century clothing demonstrate daily life in the 18th century. - Fort Frederick State Park, 11100 Fort Frederick Rd.
