A Storm wave crashes into Sunderland pier.
The storm and tide surge of January 2017 was rather special. I was out all day taking pictures big wave, it seemed like each big wave was the biggest. I took hundreds of shot this day, and its hard to pick the one to show. Here is one I like for the sheer power of the wave. The sunderland lighthouse built in 1903 stands at a hight of 23 metres. What are the seagulls doing!
