I caught this street entertainer's eye as he caught mine. His act was to use mud to give him a statuesque look and then he would perform as a statue. The use of a limited telephoto lens compresses the detail such that there is insufficient detail in the background and so the portrait has good contrast. There is added interest to an otherwise and intentional greyish image with the yellow daisy on the subject's head. This draws the eye to the entertainer's left eye which is cocked in an interesting and thought-provoking expression. The image is carefully cropped with the subject leaning into the centre of the picture with the face centrally located 2/3 to the top of the image.
