These currents of colder water are probablya continuation of the streaks of low temperature met withbetween Halifax and the latter islands. At Station 57, off Ber-mudas, we enter an area of warm water of nearly the sametemperature as the Gulf Stream, which can be traced as far asStation 60. Another area of the same temperature
