Jacob Bare and Mary (Eppley) Bare had the followingchildren: John, Ann (Nancy), George, Jacob E., David, Mary,Elizabeth, Samuel, Lydia, Martin E. John Bare, first child of Jacob and Mary (Epply) Bare, wasborn September 8, 1808, in Newberry Township, York County,Pa. He was married to Jane Hoops, May 20, 1830. William Bare, first child of John and Jane (Hoops) Bare,was born in York County, Pa., June 20th, 1831, and died inMiami County, Ohio, April i6th, 1897, and was buried nearNew Carlisle, O. At the time of his death he owned three finefarms and had considerable money besides. He bequeathed var-ious sums to relatives and to three different churches, and tocemeteries; in all about ten thousand dollars, and the residue tohis wife.
