Chalybeate Spring near Callander in Perthshire Scotland

Early in the 17th century, chalybeate water was said to have health-giving properties and many people have promoted its qualities. The Red Well near Callander was restored and had a plaque erected in 1924 saying the well was 'of old time repute' and it was renovated again by the Callander Community Council being funded by the Millenium 2000 project.
