S„ 84, the AlumnaeSpeaker at the Anniversary Celebration, is one of the mostdistinguished of the Graduates of St. Marys, and one ofthem most immediately connected with it for many years. She graduated with the Class of 84, one of the best re-membered of St. Marys classes, and was for many yearsfirst teacher and then Lady Principal, in the Rectorship ofDr. Bennett Smedes. After leaving St. Marys she studied at Cornell Uni-versity, took her Bachelors and Masters degrees at GeorgeWashington University, Washington. D. C, became Deanof Women at the University of Cincinnati, and in 1916assumed the Presidency of Sweetbrier College.
