He says everything is late—weeks be- hind. The Havana Seed Co., Havana, HI., is the name under which L. S. Turner and J. M. Shilling will do business. They have rented the Otto cribs and warehouse at Main and Plum streets and will put in an equipment for cleaning seed. Next season they will go into the growing end. Fred E. Deatherage, Waverly, HI., who has made a specialty of breeding seed corn, is building a drying house 33x60 feet, basement and two stories. The first floor will contain 2,511 wire hangers, each hanger holding forty-eight ears of corn, a total of 120,528 ears, or about 1,500 bushels. The upper floor will contain ventilated storage cribs.
