(POLARIS POINT, Guam) June 30, 2017 – Sailors attached to the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39) participate in a 5k run in honor of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month, June 30. Land and USS Frank Cable (AS 40), the Navy’s only two submarine tenders, are both homeported in Apra Harbor, Guam, and provide maintenance, hotel services, and logistical support to submarines and surface ships in the 5th and 7th Fleet areas of operation.
