Yet we need make no apology for the intro- duction of the Stkixglkss Green Pod, which we have been watching for several years, when we state that, many as are the varieties, this is the first and only absolutely stringless green=pod bush bean. In quality it surpasses all other varieties of dwarf green-podded beans known to-day.' When first introduced last season (only in sealed packets) we pre- faced onr remarks with the words above. Upon our recommendation many thousands of gardeners purchased the seed for trial, with the result that it has everywhere proved unequaled. Of all green-podded bush beans this rare variety is decidedly the earliest and BEST. BURPEE'S STRINGLESS GREEN POD is most happily named, as it is quite unique,âthe only stringless green-pod bush bean in cultivation. Consequently it surpasses all others in crisp, tender flavor. The illustration herewith shows the width and thickness of the beautiful, straight, green pods taken from nature : all are absolutely stringless and of the beautiful fleshy appearance shown.
