CT Cross Section of Liver Tumor

Digitally and color enhanced cross sectional image from a CT (Computed Tomography) scan of an abdomen which shows an ill-defined tumor in the liver. The liver is the large yellow organ and the tumor is the smaller orange wedged shape region near the top of the liver. It lies near the gallbladder (dark green structure to the right near the top of the liver). The spine is the white structure near the center of the lower part of the image. To either side of the spine are the kidneys (purple structures). The rounded deep red structure near the middle of the image is the abdominal aorta (largest artery in the chest and abdomen). The smaller tubuler structures coming off each side of the aorta are the arteries supplying blood flow to the kidneys. The purple tubular structures on top of the aorta and renal arteries are the renal veins and inferior vena cava. In the middle of this image the head of the pancreas is seen as the green structure. The feathery red blue tubular structures on the right side are loops of small bowe. On top of the small bowel there is a larger tubular structure with white, red and black which is the transverse colon (part of the large intestine).
