THE RUMBLEY CO., Evergreen, Ala. believes in early planting and already has 120,000 young stock in the beds, with about 30,000 more to follow. In addition to good standard varieties like Pink Delight, Benora, Ward, Matchless, Bosette and others, he has a number of fine seedlings, of which he has large batches. Some of these are likely to be more heard of in the near future. The Dolansky-McDonald Co. handles all of Mr. Sim's output. George W. Goold, of Sussex, N. B., was a caller last week. He is a veteran of the world war and spent at its con- clusion nearly a year with the noted firm of London landscape architects, Milner, Son & White, who carry out con- tracts in countries as far away as India, South Africa and continental Europe. Mr. Goold, with his father, plans to de- velop the landscape and nursery depart- ment at his home and while in Boston visited the leading nurseries, pnvate estates and parkways, the Arnold Arboretum and landscape architects. On his way home he planned to visit the Bar Harbor Nurseries, on Mount Desert island, Me. While the attacks of the gypsy moth are less severe than usual in the near vicinity of Boston, a few miles out the destruction is worse than ever before.
