Lieutenant Estep of the Signal Corps captured this photograph during World War One. It shows Colonel Charles de L. Hine, of the Motor Transport Division, being presented a bouquet by a grateful French family. The family had spent four years in German captivity and were about to leave their home in St. Renert, France. This photo was released by the Censor and has the reference number #23739.
