Fore wing dark brown, irrorated with white scales; a curved whitish antemedial line : reniform blackish, defined by the Y-sh^-Psd medial whitish band, which does not reach costa or inner margin; postmedial line oblique from costa to vein 4, where it is strongly angled outwards, then greatly incurved. Hind wing black, with pure white discal spot and another below it towards inner margin. Underside of fore wing black, with broad medial white band and discal spot. Hah. , California
