It has no insect enemies or diseases. The flowers are of almost every desirable color. By cutting the spikes when two or three of the lower flowers are open, and placing tlioni in water, the entire spike will open in the most beautiful manner. Set the bulbs from six to nine inches apart and about four inches deep. Plant from middle of April to first of June. It IS a good way to plant at two or three differ- ent times, ten days to two weeks amrt. This will give a succession of blooms from July to ISTovember, OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GLADIOU.
