WhING wheelchair testing. User on an access parking ramp to a garage testing an electric wheelchair for disabled people. This is a WhING (Wheelchair Initiative New Generation) wheelchair. It has innovative mechanical and electrical features that can be programmed and changed for different disabilities, or for the same patient through the progression of a condition. The WhING wheelchair, from Segula Technologies, was awarded the 2011 French National Engineering Prize. Photographed in 2012, in Trappes, France.
