An inscribed stone tablet in the courtyard of Side museum in Side, Antalya province, Turkey (Turkiye). The tablet contains a Latin inscription from the time of Roman emperor Gallineas (253–268 AD) at the time when famine due to drought hit the Roman city. In the letter the Emperor exempted people from grain tax and also sent relief supplies to the city. The museum is housed in the city's Roman bath building and opened in 1962. It contains finds discovered by Arif Müfid Mansel, one of the pioneers of Turkish archeology, during his excavations in the Ancient City of Side. Side is a popular cultural and tourism destination.
