Lijiang, Yunnan China - 25 October 2006 This old man is smoking a traditional bamboo pipe in the town centre of Lijiang, an ancient city in the northwest part of China's Yunnan province. This is home to the Naxi and several other ethnic minority groups. Dating to the late Song dynasty, its old town encompasses cobblestone streets, canals, lanterns and a very old feel. So this guy is very much in the character of the place.
