Spacewalk. Against the backdrop of a cloudy Earth, astronaut Michael L. Gernhardt, mission specialist, stands on a mobile foot restraint attached to Space Shuttle Endeavour by a remote manipulator arm. Note the reflection of the shuttle nose in his visor. This photograph was taken during mission STS-69 (7-18 September 1995) while Gernhardt tested new tools and spacesuit accessories designed for use on board space stations.
