SASEBO, Japan (May 25, 2017) Sailors aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) conduct crane operations with landing craft utility (LCU) 1634, assigned to Naval Beach Unit (NBU) 7, during a training evolution. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
