CHAPTER X WHEAT, BARLEY, RYE, AND OATS The four cereals, wheat, rye, barley, and oats havemany things in common. All belong to the grass familyof plants, and, like the majority of grasses, all havehollow stems except at the joints. The flowers, too,.
