The scheme of connection of this equipmentis as shown in the accompanying electric circuit dia-gram, in which the important pieces of equipment arerepresented by conventional symbols. The switchingequipment is laid out to give the maximum of flexibility,allowing for easy transfer of groups of feeders from onegenerator to another, the isolation of generators orgroups of feeders, and the paralleling of generators andfeeders, all with minimum risk to the plant throughthe effects of short-circuits. Eventually there will be six group buses with switchesfor connecting any one or more to any one or more gen-erators, and there will be a looped generator tie bus forthe purpose of paralleling the generators. For the pres-ent there will be but two group buses. The route of the power from generators to feedersis this: Generator—generator switch—disconnects—
