He was singularlyfortunate in the performance of his duty and never failed to command the com-mendation of his superiors, and the cheer-ful obedience of the men he versed in the military science,h; was a rigid disciplinarian, knowing nofavorites, btit with a firm hand he held allto their duty, and gave of liis best to theservice of the Union. After the war he resided in Medford,Mass., until his death in Henry E- Gk.\xdy, Sonierville, Mass. Minute Men of 61 Co.
