The Gangotri glacier, the source of the Ganges.

The peaks of Bhagirathi 1 and 2 (6856m/6512m) seen from the top of the Gangotri glacier, just above Gaumukh. Gaumukh, also called the Cow's mouth, is a hole in the Gangotri glacier from where the Bhagirathi River, which turns into the Ganges further down stream, first emerges. For Hindus, it's an extremely holy site. Climate change and global warming is rapidly melting the glacier.
