This may be done by cutting out a V-shaped portion of themuscular and peritoneal coats of the stomach, thus narrowing the pyloric disease it will sometimes be better for the surgeon tomake a permanent opening between the stomach above the pylorusand the intestine below the duodenum by gastroenterostomy. Thismay be done by suturing or by Murphys buttons or similar mechan-ical devices. Stricture of Gastric Orifices.
