There are several subspecies of Yellow-rumped Warblers, the being the "Audubon's" subspecies, audubonii, the dominant subspecies in temperate western North America. The other subspecies found over much of the continent is the coronata subspecies "Myrtle" Warbler, which has a white throat in stead of yellow.
