While yet a young man, Sir W^Jt WEorie obtained from his father the lands of Culteleod, in the ^^jg-Wparish of Fodderty. After obtaining these lands, Sir Eorie hadthe territorial designation of Culteleod, and the castle which he subsequentlyerected there in the year 1616 was one of his favourite residences.
