This image may not be used to state or imply NOAO endorsement of any company or product M35 open star cluster (NGC 2168), optical image. M35 contains a couple of hundred stars (mostly at upper left). M35, some 110 million years old, lies about 2800 light years away in the constellation Gemini. A more distant open star cluster, NGC 2158 (lower right) is some 16,000 light years distant. Image taken in January 1997 by the Burrell Schmidt telescope, Kitt Peak, Arizona, USA.
