Spec. Ashley Conlon from Reynolds Army Community Hospital, Fort Sill, Okla., tackles the barbed wire crawl during one of the nine obstacles facing competitors during Army Regional Medical Command-Central's Best Warrior competition, held April 10-14 at Fort Hood, Texas and hosted by Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center. Conlon, a combat medic who hails from Agoura Hills, Calif., was named Soldier of the Year and will represent the region in Army Medicine's July competition.
