Steam Train Tornado arrives with "The Cathedrals Express" at Lewes Station, Sussex

Picture by Roger Bamber : 05 July 2013 : Crowds of onlookers line the platform as a rebuild of a classic LNER (London North Eastern Railway) Class A1 Number 60163 "Tornado" arrives with "The Cathedrals Express" bound for Salisbury, Wiltshire. The steam locomotive was built between the 1990s and 2008 to fill the gap left by the withdrawal and scrapping of the original 50 designed by Peppercorn for the Eastern Region from London Kings Cross to Edinburgh.
