We saw piled up near the railroad station many small bags filledwith a heavy sand-like silver ore, intended for shipment to the streets I saw a number of men with bad-looking ulcersabout their ankles and shins, and a few witli elephantiasis, a formof leprosy in which the ankle thickens enormously.
