GULF OF OMAN (Oct. 26, 2015) Marines with Medium Marine Tiltrotor Squadron 161 (Reinforced), 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, perform daily maintenance on the blades of an MV-22B Osprey aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2). Marines maintain their aircraft daily to ensure they function properly at a moment’s notice. The 15th MEU, embarked on the ships of the Essex Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to maintain regional security in the 5th Fleet area of operations. ( Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
