They are of the easiest culture, succeeding in any sunny position. The plants grow \\ to 2 feet high and produce freely, from midsummer till frost, their attractive orchid-like flow- ers in a very large range of colors, including many shades of red, rose, purple, vio- let, blue, yellow and white, mostly beautifully marbled and penciled with gold and other colors. They are splendid for cutting, lasting well in water. Seed may be started indoors in March or sown outside when the ground is in good condition. They are also excellent for winter flowering in the conservatory, f^or which purpose seed should be sown in late summer. We offer six of the most distinct colorings, viz.; Salpiclossis. Seed can be sown any time in the spring after danger of frost is past. They grow about '2\ feet high, and come into bloom early in July, and continue without interruption until hard frost. The beautiful flowers in exquisite shades are borne on long stems, and when cut keep in perfect condition for the best part of a week.
