The Scranton Railway Company also operates a railroad to Moosic Lake, which is twelvemiles east of the , at an elevation of two thousand feet above sea level. This road iscalled The Gateway to the Clouds, and is one of the most scenic and pictuiesque routeseast of the Rockies. Moosic Lake is a body of remarkably clear water, and ofl^ers a cool andrefreshing resort on the hottest days of summer.
