George Sinclair landing with his Scottish mercenary soldiers at Romsdal, Norway in 1612. On their way to join the army of the Swedish king Gustavus Adolphus they were ambushed by Norwegian Peasant militia. The Battle of Kringen followed resulting in victory for the Norwegians.
