On a sunny March Monday with afternoon temperatures above 50 degrees, Downtown Boulder would be buzzing with activity. But March 16, 2020 was different. With COVID-19 on peoples' minds and all levels of government preaching "Social-Distancing," the downtown, including Pearl Street Mall, resembled something closer to a ghost town. There were few shoppers and restaurant-goers, while businesses searched for appropriate ways to respond. Some closed, some stayed open and others modified usual practices.
