Near to Riung, at Ontoloe Island (Seventeen Islands Marine Park) is living a massive colony of flying foxes. During the day these huge fruit bats rest, hung upside down on tree branches of the mangrove swamp and at sunset they blacken the sky around Riung as they head inland to feed (Flores - Indonesia). Près de Riung, dans l'île d Ontoloe (Parc Marin des Dix sept îles) vit une énorme colonie de roussettes. Pendant le jour ces énormes chauves-souris mangeuses de fruits se reposent, suspendues tête en bas aux branches des arbres de la mangrove et au coucher de soleil elles obscurcissent le ciel autour de Riung en se dirigeant vers l'intérieur des terres pour se nourrir (Florès - Indonésie).
